In 2020-2021, 3,273 people earned their degree in carpentry, making the major the 286th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, carpentry graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,196 and had an average of $11,191 in loans still to pay off.
Across Pennsylvania, there were 349 carpentry graduates with average earnings and debt of $30,147 and $13,497 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Pennsylvania for Carpentry” ranking, we looked at 4 colleges that offer a degree in carpentry. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great carpentry programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Pennsylvania for Carpentry list. This small school is located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and it awarded 30 ’s carpentry degrees in 2020-2021.

Triangle Tech - Bethlehem is a small private for-profit school situated in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It awarded 19 ’s carpentry degrees in 2020-2021.
Triangle Tech - Bethlehem also took the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Among the 131 students enrolled at Triangle Tech - Bethlehem, 33 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
