Construction is the 284th most popular major in the country with 1,435 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, construction graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $33,364 and had an average of $9,374 in loans still to pay off.
At the associate degree level specifically, there were 440 construction graduates with average earnings and debt of $35,806 and $19,336 respectively.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Honolulu Community College. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly for Construction for an Associate. This small school is located in Honolulu, Hawaii, and it awarded 222 associates’s construction degrees in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Honolulu CC, the school also landed the #1 spot in our “Best Construction Associate Degree Schools” ranking.According to our most recent data, Honolulu Community College supports 3,378 students, and 335 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 260 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $1,926. To help with additional expenses, 15 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Colorado Mesa is a medium-sized school located in Grand Junction, Colorado that handed out 2 associates’s construction degrees in 2020-2021.
Colorado Mesa also made our “Best Construction Associate Degree Schools” list, coming in at #2.Our most recent data shows that 439 of the 9,110 students enrolled at Colorado Mesa were GI Bill® students, of which 196 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Linn, Missouri is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out associates’s construction degrees to 22 students in 2020-2021.
STC did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #4 on our “Best Construction Associate Degree Schools” list.Of the 1,756 students enrolled at STC, 83 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 44 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $5,461.
