Our mission at College Factual is to arm you with as much information as we can to help you make that decision. Our “Most Veteran Friendly for Education for a Bachelor’s” ranking is one tool we have developed to help in this regard.
In 2020-2021, 29,810 people earned their degree in general education, making the major the 41st most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, general education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $48,719 and had an average of $23,394 in loans still to pay off.
At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 5,611 general education graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,682 and $26,217 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly for Education for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 161 colleges that offer a degree in general education. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent general education programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the general education program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
