General Education is the 41st most popular major in the country with 29,810 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, general education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $48,719 and had an average of $23,394 in loans still to pay off.

Across Pennsylvania, there were 1,014 general education graduates with average earnings and debt of $51,017 and $23,518 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 106 general education graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,741 and $27,572 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Pennsylvania for Education for a Bachelor’s” ranking looked at 7 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in general education. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality general education programs as well as strong veteran support.

Located in Radnor, Pennsylvania, this small private not-for-profit school handed out 19 degrees to qualified bachelors’s education students in 2020-2021.

Cabrini University did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #1 on our “Best General Education Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Pennsylvania” list.Our most recent data shows that 24 of the 2,009 students enrolled at Cabrini University were GI Bill® students, of which 13 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
