General Education is the 41st most popular major in the country with 29,810 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, general education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $48,719 and had an average of $23,394 in loans still to pay off.
Across Wisconsin, there were 659 general education graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,771 and $25,514 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great general education programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Wisconsin for Education list. Located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this large public school handed out 148 degrees to qualified ’s education students in 2020-2021.

Marquette is a fairly large private not-for-profit school situated in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It awarded 10 ’s education degrees in 2020-2021.
Marquette did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.According to our most recent data, Marquette University supports 11,550 students, and 140 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 93 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Saint Norbert College did quite well in the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Wisconsin for Education ranking, coming in at #7. SNC is a private not-for-profit institution located in De Pere, Wisconsin. The school has a small population, and it awarded 4 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.
