When it comes to choosing a college, veterans have a lot of options - but not all of them are good. College Factual was founded, in part, to help students make the decision as to what would be the best school for them. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in Ohio for Instructional Media for a Master’s” ranking is part of that endeavor.
In 2020-2021, 8,695 people earned their degree in instructional media design, making the major the 98th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, instructional media design graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $54,158 and had an average of $29,016 in loans still to pay off.
Across Ohio, there were 180 instructional media design graduates with average earnings and debt of $49,975 and $25,875 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Ohio for Instructional Media for a Master’s” ranking, we looked at 9 colleges that offer a degree in instructional media design. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great instructional media design programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Miami University - Oxford. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Ohio for Instructional Media for a Master’s list. Miami University - Oxford is a fairly large public school situated in Oxford, Ohio. It awarded 23 masters’s instructional media degrees in 2020-2021.
Miami University - Oxford also took the #1 spot in our “Best Instructional Media Design Master’s Degree Schools in Ohio” ranking.According to our most recent data, Miami University - Oxford supports 18,880 students, and 405 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 259 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Cincinnati, Ohio is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s instructional media degrees to 13 students in 2020-2021.
