International Education is the 302nd most popular major in the country with 293 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, international education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $48,867 and had an average of $12,250 in loans still to pay off.

Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent international education programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at NYU, the school also landed the #3 spot in our “Best International Education Master’s Degree Schools” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 1 of the 52,775 students enrolled at New York University were GI Bill® students, of which 1 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Loyola University Chicago is a fairly large private not-for-profit school situated in Chicago, Illinois. It awarded 13 masters’s international ed degrees in 2020-2021.
Loyola Chicago also took the #4 spot in our “Best International Education Master’s Degree Schools” ranking.Of the 16,893 students enrolled at Loyola University Chicago, 261 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 165 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $17,263. On top of their other funding sources, 78 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Loyola University Chicago does offer credit for military training for eligible students.

Located in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, this fairly large private not-for-profit school awarded 14 diplomas to qualified masters’s international ed students in 2020-2021.
Boston College did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #6 on our “Best International Education Master’s Degree Schools” list.Among the 14,934 students enrolled at Boston College, 170 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 100 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $17,142. During this same period, 64 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.

American University came in at #6 in this year’s edition of the Most Veteran Friendly for International Ed for a Master’s ranking. The American University is a fairly large school located in Washington, District of Columbia that handed out 12 masters’s international ed degrees in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at The American University, the school also landed the #7 spot in our “Best International Education Master’s Degree Schools” ranking.Among the 14,001 students enrolled at American University, 613 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Niagara University is located in Niagara University, New York and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 5 masters’s international ed degrees to qualified students.
