It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for veterans. College Factual was founded, in part, to help students make the decision as to what would be the best school for them. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Other Education for a Master’s” ranking is part of that endeavor.
In 2020-2021, 4,858 people earned their degree in other education, making the major the 142nd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, other education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $47,827 and had an average of $25,433 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 1,451 other education graduates with average earnings and debt of $46,063 and $32,602 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Other Education for a Master’s” ranking looked at 13 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in other education. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent other education programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the other education program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

UNC Chapel Hill is located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 10 masters’s other education degrees to qualified students.

Regent University is a private not-for-profit institution located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 149 masters’s degrees in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Regent, the school also landed the #1 spot in our “Best Other Education Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.Of the 10,483 students enrolled at Regent, 1,414 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 1,139 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $9,203. In addition to receiving other benefits, 42 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

The school came in at #3 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Other Education for a Master’s. Belmont is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school situated in Nashville, Tennessee. It awarded 9 masters’s other education degrees in 2020-2021.
