University of South Carolina - Upstate tops the 2021 list of our schools in South Carolina that are best for non-traditional education students. USC Upstate is a small public school located in the medium-sized suburb of Spartanburg. USC Upstate not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #4 on our Best Colleges for Education in South Carolina list.
The student loan default rate at USC Upstate is lower than is typical, just 3.1% of students default in three years. Approximately 3,243 students take at least one class online at USC Upstate. About 1,416 of the students at USC Upstate are attending part time.
