In 2020-2021, 327,871 education students received their degree, making the major the 4th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,202 and had an average of $24,437 in loans still to pay off.
Across Pennsylvania, there were 12,522 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $45,698 and $26,116 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 591 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $35,360 and $19,957 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Pennsylvania for Education for an Associate” ranking analyzed 10 colleges that offered a degree in education. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great education programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Top 10 Best Education Associate Degree Colleges for Veterans in Pennsylvania
Out of the 10 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Pennsylvania for Education for an Associate that were part of this year’s ranking, Saint Francis University landed the #1 spot on the list. Loretto, Pennsylvania is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out associates’s education degrees to 3 students in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Saint Francis, the school also landed the #3 spot in our “Best Education Associate Degree Schools in Pennsylvania” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 35 of the 2,769 students enrolled at Saint Francis University were GI Bill® students, of which 23 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
