Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Education for an Associate” ranking is one tool we have developed to help in this regard.
With 327,871 degrees handed out in 2020-2021, education is the 4th most popular major in the United States. In 2019-2020, education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,202 and had an average of $24,437 in loans still to pay off.
Across the New England region, there were 16,974 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $46,380 and $25,688 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 846 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,618 and $16,599 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Education for an Associate” ranking analyzed 13 colleges that offered a degree in education. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent education programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the education program at the school. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Bristol Community College. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Education for an Associate. Bristol is a medium-sized school located in Fall River, Massachusetts that handed out 42 associates’s education degrees in 2020-2021.

Middlesex Community College is a medium-sized public school situated in Bedford, Massachusetts. It awarded 34 associates’s education degrees in 2020-2021.

CCV also took the #7 spot in our “Best Education Associate Degree Schools in the New England Region” ranking.According to our most recent data, CCV supports 5,102 students, and 148 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 64 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Concord, New Hampshire is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out associates’s education degrees to 23 students in 2020-2021.
