In 2020-2021, 327,871 education students received their degree, making the major the 4th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,202 and had an average of $24,437 in loans still to pay off.
Across Minnesota, there were 10,018 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $48,279 and $25,122 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 220 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,091 and $24,039 respectively.

Out of the 2 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Minnesota for Education for an Associate that were part of this year’s ranking, Alexandria Technical & Community College landed the #1 spot on the list. Located in Alexandria, Minnesota, this small public school handed out 15 diplomas to qualified associates’s education students in 2020-2021.
ATCC also took the #2 spot in our “Best Education Associate Degree Schools in Minnesota” ranking.Of the 2,549 students enrolled at Alexandria Technical & Community College, 76 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
