Education is one of the most popular majors in the nation, ranking 4th of all the majors we analyze. In 2020-2021, 327,871 degrees were awarded to students with this major. In 2019-2020, education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,202 and had an average of $24,437 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 16,974 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $46,380 and $25,688 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 3,854 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $42,403 and $25,944 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Education for a Bachelor’s” ranking looked at 61 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in education. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great education programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

University of Massachusetts - Lowell is located in Lowell, Massachusetts and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 17 bachelors’s education degrees to qualified students.
