In 2020-2021, 327,871 education students received their degree, making the major the 4th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,202 and had an average of $24,437 in loans still to pay off.
Across Iowa, there were 3,517 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,708 and $32,390 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,960 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,980 and $30,839 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Iowa for Education for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 20 colleges that offer a degree in education. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent education programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
