Our “Most Veteran Friendly in Illinois for Education” ranking is one tool we have developed to help in this regard.
In 2020-2021, 327,871 education students received their degree, making the major the 4th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,202 and had an average of $24,437 in loans still to pay off.
Across Illinois, there were 10,730 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $49,951 and $25,324 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Illinois for Education” ranking looked at 41 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in education. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great education programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the education program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
