It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for veterans. College Factual was founded, in part, to help students make the decision as to what would be the best school for them. Our “Most Veteran Friendly for Deaf Education” ranking is part of that endeavor.

Education of the Deaf is the 790th most popular major in the country with 363 degrees awarded in 2020-2021.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly for Deaf Education” ranking, we looked at 22 colleges that offer a degree in education of the deaf. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great education of the deaf programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the education of the deaf program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly for Deaf Education. This fairly large school is located in Greensboro, North Carolina, and it awarded 28 ’s deaf education degrees in 2020-2021.

UNC Greensboro did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Of the 19,764 students enrolled at UNC Greensboro, 885 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Located in Fort Worth, Texas, this fairly large private not-for-profit school awarded 5 degrees to qualified ’s deaf education students in 2020-2021.

TCU did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Among the 11,379 students enrolled at Texas Christian University, 520 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 405 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $23,096. On top of their other funding sources, 343 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Texas Christian University offers credit for military training for eligible students.

Located in Ewing, New Jersey, this medium-sized public school handed out 7 degrees to qualified ’s deaf education students in 2020-2021.

Western Oregon State College is located in Monmouth, Oregon and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 18 ’s deaf education degrees to qualified students.
