Out of the 3 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Education/Teaching of Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities for a Bachelor’s that were part of this year’s ranking, Eastern Michigan University landed the #1 spot on the list. Located in Ypsilanti, Michigan, this fairly large public school awarded 21 diplomas to qualified bachelors’s education/teaching of individuals with intellectual disabilities students in 2020-2021.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Central Michigan University. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Education/Teaching of Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities for a Bachelor’s list. Mount Pleasant, Michigan is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s education/teaching of individuals with intellectual disabilities degrees to 38 students in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Central Michigan, the school also landed the #1 spot in our “Best Education/Teaching of Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Great Lakes Region” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 1 of the 17,311 students enrolled at Central Michigan were GI Bill® students, of which 1 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $425. During this same period, 0 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program.
