In 2020-2021, 43,297 people earned their degree in teacher education subject specific, making the major the 22nd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, teacher education subject specific graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $42,245 and had an average of $24,696 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Rocky Mountains region, there were 3,331 teacher education subject specific graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,754 and $21,942 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,510 teacher education subject specific graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,089 and $26,296 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Rocky Mountains Region for Subject Specific Ed for a Bachelor’s” ranking analyzed 21 colleges that offered a degree in teacher education subject specific. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent teacher education subject specific programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
