Teacher Education Subject Specific is the 22nd most popular major in the country with 43,297 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, teacher education subject specific graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $42,245 and had an average of $24,696 in loans still to pay off.
Across Ohio, there were 1,766 teacher education subject specific graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,507 and $26,003 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Ohio for Subject Specific Ed for a Master’s” ranking, we looked at 19 colleges that offer a degree in teacher education subject specific. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great teacher education subject specific programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Xavier is located in Cincinnati, Ohio and, has a medium-sized student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 35 masters’s subject specific ed degrees to qualified students.
Xavier not only placed well in this ranking. UC also took the #9 spot in our “Best Teacher Education Subject Specific Master’s Degree Schools in Ohio” ranking.Of the 40,826 students enrolled at UC, 909 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
