In 2020-2021, 43,297 people earned their degree in teacher education subject specific, making the major the 22nd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, teacher education subject specific graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $42,245 and had an average of $24,696 in loans still to pay off.
Across Kentucky, there were 1,129 teacher education subject specific graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,919 and $27,025 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Kentucky for Subject Specific Ed” ranking looked at 13 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in teacher education subject specific. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent teacher education subject specific programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
