Our “Most Veteran Friendly for School Librarian/School Library Media Specialist for a Master’s” ranking is one tool we have developed to help in this regard.
In 2020-2021, 370 people earned their degree in school librarian/school library media specialist, making the major the 717th most popular in the United States.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly for School Librarian/School Library Media Specialist for a Master’s” ranking, we looked at 20 colleges that offer a degree in school librarian/school library media specialist. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality school librarian/school library media specialist programs as well as strong veteran support.
When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the school librarian/school library media specialist program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
The following schools top our list of the Best “Most Veteran Friendly for School Librarian/School Library Media Specialist for a Master’s”.
Out of the 20 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly for School Librarian/School Library Media Specialist for a Master’s that were part of this year’s ranking, Syracuse University landed the #1 spot on the list. This large school is located in Syracuse, New York, and it awarded 9 masters’s school librarian/school library media specialist degrees in 2020-2021.
Syracuse also made our “Best School Librarian/School Library Media Specialist Master’s Degree Schools” list, coming in at #1.According to our most recent data, Syracuse University supports 21,322 students, and 385 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 250 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
