Out of the 2 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Kindergarten/Preschool Education and Teaching for a Bachelor’s that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Arizona landed the #1 spot on the list. Located in Tucson, Arizona, this large public school handed out 18 degrees to qualified bachelors’s kindergarten/preschool education and teaching students in 2020-2021.
University of Arizona not only placed well in this ranking. New Mexico Highlands University is a small public school situated in Las Vegas, New Mexico. It awarded 34 bachelors’s kindergarten/preschool education and teaching degrees in 2020-2021.

Out of that number, 11 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $3,407. To help with additional expenses, 0 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.
