In 2020-2021, 110,226 teacher education grade specific students received their degree, making the major the 6th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, teacher education grade specific graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $37,970 and had an average of $24,228 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 29,166 teacher education grade specific graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,495 and $23,850 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 13,730 teacher education grade specific graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,400 and $27,180 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great teacher education grade specific programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
