Secondary Education is the 84th most popular major in the country with 10,547 degrees awarded in 2020-2021.
Across the Southwest region, there were 2,254 secondary education graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Secondary Teaching” ranking, we looked at 20 colleges that offer a degree in secondary education. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent secondary education programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Arizona State University - Tempe. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Secondary Teaching. Tempe, Arizona is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s secondary teaching degrees to 287 students in 2020-2021.
ASU - Tempe not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Of the 74,795 students enrolled at ASU - Tempe, 7,566 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. OSU is a large school located in Stillwater, Oklahoma that handed out 34 ’s secondary teaching degrees in 2020-2021.
