Engineering-Related Fields is the 112th most popular major in the country with 6,736 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, engineering-related fields graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $77,404 and had an average of $26,200 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 1,480 engineering-related fields graduates with average earnings and debt of $74,093 and $24,582 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 303 engineering-related fields graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,400 and $27,180 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Engineering-Related Fields for a Bachelor’s” ranking looked at 7 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in engineering-related fields. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great engineering-related fields programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

The school came in at #2 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Engineering-Related Fields for a Bachelor’s. Located in Clemson, South Carolina, this large public school awarded 73 diplomas to qualified bachelors’s engineering-related fields students in 2020-2021.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at Clemson, the school also landed the #1 spot in our “Best Engineering-Related Fields Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.According to our most recent data, Clemson supports 26,406 students, and 922 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 429 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $8,920. During this same period, 15 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program.
