In 2019-2020, general engineering technology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $53,419 and had an average of $23,567 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Plains States region, there were 251 general engineering technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $58,632 and $26,530 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 46 general engineering technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,723 and $22,140 respectively.

This ranking identifies schools with high-quality general engineering technology programs as well as strong veteran support.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Kansas State University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Engineering Tech for an Associate list. This large school is located in Manhattan, Kansas, and it awarded 9 associates’s engineering tech degrees in 2020-2021.

K -State also made our “Best General Engineering Technology Associate Degree Schools in the Plains States Region” list, coming in at #1.Of the 20,854 students enrolled at K -State, 1,099 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
