Out of the 10 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly for Mining & Petroleum Tech that were part of this year’s ranking, Nicholls State University landed the #1 spot on the list. Located in Thibodaux, Louisiana, this medium-sized public school awarded 68 degrees to qualified ’s mining and petroleum tech students in 2020-2021.

Located in North Canton, Ohio, this fairly large public school awarded 35 degrees to qualified ’s mining and petroleum tech students in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Stark State College, the school also landed the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Among the 10,772 students enrolled at Stark State College, 298 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 196 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $3,063. You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Houston Community College. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly for Mining & Petroleum Tech list. Houston Community College is a large school located in Houston, Texas that handed out 13 ’s mining and petroleum tech degrees in 2020-2021.

Bismarck State College is a small public school situated in Bismarck, North Dakota. It awarded 14 ’s mining and petroleum tech degrees in 2020-2021.

Out of that number, 116 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $3,217. Located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, this small private not-for-profit school handed out 14 degrees to qualified ’s mining and petroleum tech students in 2020-2021.

West Virginia Northern Community College ranked #10 on this year’s Most Veteran Friendly for Mining & Petroleum Tech list. Wheeling, West Virginia is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s mining and petroleum tech degrees to 17 students in 2020-2021.
