Engineering Technologies is the 20th most popular major in the country with 85,188 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, engineering technologies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $52,350 and had an average of $21,560 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 10,969 engineering technologies graduates with average earnings and debt of $48,978 and $20,173 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Engineering Tech” ranking, we looked at 34 colleges that offer a degree in engineering technologies. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality engineering technologies programs as well as strong veteran support.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the engineering technologies program at the school. See our ranking methodology to learn more.

Located in Tempe, Arizona, this large public school handed out 206 diplomas to qualified ’s engineering tech students in 2020-2021.

With a ranking of #25, Victoria College did quite well on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Engineering Tech list. Located in Victoria, Texas, this small public school awarded 128 degrees to qualified ’s engineering tech students in 2020-2021.
