It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for veterans. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in Minnesota for Engineering Tech” ranking is part of that endeavor.
In 2020-2021, 85,188 people earned their degree in engineering technologies, making the major the 20th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, engineering technologies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $52,350 and had an average of $21,560 in loans still to pay off.
Across Minnesota, there were 1,370 engineering technologies graduates with average earnings and debt of $52,764 and $19,860 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Minnesota for Engineering Tech” ranking analyzed 10 colleges that offered a degree in engineering technologies. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent engineering technologies programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the engineering technologies program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.

Out of the 10 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Minnesota for Engineering Tech that were part of this year’s ranking, Hennepin Technical College landed the #1 spot on the list. Hennepin Technical College is a public institution located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. The school has a small population, and it awarded 328 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.

Dunwoody College of Technology is a small school located in Minneapolis, Minnesota that handed out 73 ’s engineering tech degrees in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Dunwoody College of Technology, the school also landed the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Among the 1,281 students enrolled at Dunwoody College of Technology, 176 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Located in Mankato, Minnesota, this fairly large public school awarded 60 diplomas to qualified ’s engineering tech students in 2020-2021.

St Cloud Technical and Community College ranked #6 on this year’s Most Veteran Friendly in Minnesota for Engineering Tech list. Saint Cloud, Minnesota is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s engineering tech degrees to 88 students in 2020-2021.

Anoka Technical College came in at #7 in this year’s edition of the Most Veteran Friendly in Minnesota for Engineering Tech ranking. Located in Anoka, Minnesota, this small public school handed out 96 degrees to qualified ’s engineering tech students in 2020-2021.
