In 2020-2021, 17,987 people earned their degree in computer engineering, making the major the 56th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, computer engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $73,143 and had an average of $24,685 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 3,297 computer engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $68,480 and $26,507 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value CE Schools in the Southeast Region For Those Making $48-$75k” ranking analyzed 50 colleges that offered a degree in computer engineering. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great computer engineering programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as the cost to attend the school after aid is awarded and overall quality of the computer engineering program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
