Computer Engineering is the 56th most popular major in the country with 17,987 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, computer engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $73,143 and had an average of $24,685 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 3,297 computer engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $68,480 and $26,507 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 2,475 computer engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,400 and $27,180 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for CE for a Bachelor’s” ranking looked at 44 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in computer engineering. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great computer engineering programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

With a ranking of #22, University of South Florida - Main Campus did quite well on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for CE for a Bachelor’s list. USF Tampa is a large public school situated in Tampa, Florida. It awarded 43 bachelors’s CE degrees in 2020-2021.
