You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Carnegie Mellon University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Pennsylvania for CE for a Master’s list. Carnegie Mellon University is a fairly large private not-for-profit school situated in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It awarded 140 masters’s CE degrees in 2020-2021.
Carnegie Mellon also made our “Best Computer Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in Pennsylvania” list, coming in at #1.Of the 13,519 students enrolled at Carnegie Mellon, 117 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 72 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $18,422. During this same period, 36 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program.
With a freshman retention rate of 96%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its undergraduate students. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out masters’s CE degrees to 46 students in 2020-2021.
Drexel also made our “Best Computer Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in Pennsylvania” list, coming in at #3.Of the 23,589 students enrolled at Drexel, 2 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 0 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $0. To help with additional expenses, 0 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Drexel does offer credit for military training for eligible students.

Gannon University is located in Erie, Pennsylvania and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 7 masters’s CE degrees to qualified students.
Gannon did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #4 on our “Best Computer Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in Pennsylvania” list.Of the 4,251 students enrolled at Gannon, 51 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
