New Jersey Institute of Technology has taken the #1 spot in this year's civil engineering ranking for non-traditional students. NJIT is a large public school located in the large city of Newark. As a testament to the quality of education offered at NJIT, the school also landed the #3 rank in our Best Colleges for Civil Engineering in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 0.7%. Approximately 3,018 students take at least one class online at NJIT. There are roughly 3,015 part time students in attendance at NJIT.

The #2 spot in this year's ranking belongs to Manhattan College. Manhattan is a small private not-for-profit school located in the city of Riverdale. As a testament to the quality of education offered at Manhattan, the school also landed the #6 rank in our Best Colleges for Civil Engineering in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking.
