Our “Most Veteran Friendly in Colorado for Engineering for a Master’s” ranking is part of that endeavor.
In 2020-2021, 11,796 people earned their degree in general engineering, making the major the 79th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, general engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $68,873 and had an average of $20,557 in loans still to pay off.
Across Colorado, there were 259 general engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $83,792 and $19,961 respectively.

Top 6 Best General Engineering Master’s Degree Colleges for Veterans in Colorado
Out of the 6 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Colorado for Engineering for a Master’s that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Colorado Boulder landed the #1 spot on the list. University of Colorado Boulder is located in Boulder, Colorado and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 61 masters’s engineering degrees to qualified students.
CU - Boulder not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #1 on our “Best General Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in Colorado” list.According to our most recent data, CU - Boulder supports 37,437 students, and 1,379 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 968 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $12,889. On top of their other funding sources, 46 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. This large school is located in Fort Collins, Colorado, and it awarded 67 masters’s engineering degrees in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Colorado State, the school also landed the #2 spot in our “Best General Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in Colorado” ranking.According to our most recent data, Colorado State University - Fort Collins supports 32,428 students, and 1,606 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 1,183 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $10,701. On top of their other funding sources, 68 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. UCCS is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 34 masters’s engineering degrees to qualified students.

Located in Denver, Colorado, this fairly large private not-for-profit school awarded 1 diplomas to qualified masters’s engineering students in 2020-2021.
DU did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #5 on our “Best General Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in Colorado” list.Among the 13,856 students enrolled at University of Denver, 571 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 373 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $12,359.
