In 2019-2020, ocean engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $61,550 and had an average of $24,820 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 116 ocean engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $60,934 and $25,391 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for OE” ranking analyzed 4 colleges that offered a degree in ocean engineering. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality ocean engineering programs as well as strong veteran support.

Top 4 Best Ocean Engineering Colleges for Veterans in the Southeast Region
Out of the 4 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for OE that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Florida landed the #1 spot on the list. Gainesville, Florida is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s OE degrees to 16 students in 2020-2021.
