With all of the options veterans have for higher education today, it can be tough to choose which direction to take. College Factual has developed its “Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Other Engineering” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.
In 2020-2021, 2,760 people earned their degree in other engineering, making the major the 177th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, other engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $75,713 and had an average of $25,106 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 536 other engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $82,396 and $24,326 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Other Engineering” ranking, we looked at 15 colleges that offer a degree in other engineering. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent other engineering programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

University of Michigan - Ann Arbor is a large public school situated in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It awarded 12 ’s other engineering degrees in 2020-2021.
