University of Alaska Anchorage tops the 2021 list of our schools in Alaska that are best for non-traditional engineering students. UAA is a large public school located in the city of Anchorage. UAA did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #1 on our Best Colleges for Engineering in Alaska list.
The student loan default rate at UAA is lower than is typical, just 0.8% of students default in three years. 5,421 of UAA students are exclusively distance learners. 6,651 students are part time.
The #2 spot in this year's ranking belongs to University of Alaska Fairbanks. Located in the suburb of Fairbanks, UAF is a public school with a moderately-sized student population. UAF did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #2 on our Best Colleges for Engineering in Alaska list.
