Ohio State University - Main Campus tops the 2021 list of our schools in Ohio that are best for non-traditional engineering students. Ohio State is a very large public school located in the city of Columbus. As a testament to the quality of education offered at Ohio State, the school also landed the #1 rank in our Best Colleges for Engineering in Ohio ranking.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 1.2%. There are approximately 42,293 students at Ohio State that take at least one class online. About 8,459 of the students at Ohio State are attending part time.

University of Cincinnati - Main Campus earned the #2 spot in our 2021 rankings. Located in the large city of Cincinnati, UC is a public college with a fairly large student population. UC not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #4 on our Best Colleges for Engineering in Ohio list.
The student loan default rate at UC is lower than is typical, just 1.7% of students default in three years. Approximately 17,465 students take at least one class online at UC. About 10,255 of the students at UC are attending part time.

University of Dayton comes in at #3 in this year's ranking. UDayton is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the medium-sized city of Dayton. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, UDayton has also earned the #5 rank in our Best Colleges for Engineering in Ohio ranking.
