Georgia Institute of Technology - Main Campus tops the 2021 list of our schools in the Southeast Region that are best for non-traditional engineering students. Located in the city of Atlanta, Georgia Tech is a public school with a very large student population. Georgia Tech did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #1 on our Best Colleges for Engineering in the Southeast Region list.

The school has a low student loan default rate of 0.4%. 19,058 students at Georgia Tech are exclusively online. There are roughly 21,273 part time students in attendance at Georgia Tech.

The #2 spot in this year's ranking belongs to North Carolina State University. NC State is a fairly large public school located in the large city of Raleigh. As a testament to the quality of education offered at NC State, the school also landed the #2 rank in our Best Colleges for Engineering in the Southeast Region ranking.
