You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Maine Maritime Academy. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Maine for Engineering for a Bachelor’s list. This small school is located in Castine, Maine, and it awarded 93 bachelors’s engineering degrees in 2020-2021.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at Maine Maritime, the school also landed the #1 spot in our “Best Engineering Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Maine” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 92 of the 941 students enrolled at Maine Maritime were GI Bill® students, of which 37 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $17,276. During this same period, 5 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Maine Maritime offers credit for military training for eligible students.

Since the school has a undergrad student-to-faculty ratio of 9 to 1, those pursuing a degree will have more opportunities to interact with their professors. You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Maine. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Maine for Engineering for a Bachelor’s list. Located in Orono, Maine, this fairly large public school handed out 210 diplomas to qualified bachelors’s engineering students in 2020-2021.

UMaine did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #2 on our “Best Engineering Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Maine” list.Of the 11,741 students enrolled at University of Maine, 21 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 17 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $16,419. During this same period, 0 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. University of Maine does offer credit for military training for eligible students.
