You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend The University of Alabama. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Alabama for Engineering for a Master’s list. The University of Alabama is a public institution located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The school has a large population, and it awarded 95 masters’s degrees in 2020-2021.
UA also took the #2 spot in our “Best Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in Alabama” ranking.According to our most recent data, The University of Alabama supports 37,840 students, and 2,081 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 1,128 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $7,975. To help with additional expenses, 357 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. The University of Alabama offers credit for military training for eligible students.

Out of the 6 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Alabama for Engineering for a Master’s that were part of this year’s ranking, Auburn University landed the #2 spot on the list. This large school is located in Auburn, Alabama, and it awarded 220 masters’s engineering degrees in 2020-2021.
Auburn did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #1 on our “Best Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in Alabama” list.According to our most recent data, Auburn supports 30,737 students, and 1,499 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 746 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. UAB also took the #3 spot in our “Best Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in Alabama” ranking.According to our most recent data, UAB supports 22,563 students, and 1,194 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 508 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. UAH is located in Huntsville, Alabama and, has a medium-sized student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 100 masters’s engineering degrees to qualified students.
