When it comes to choosing a college, veterans have a lot of options - but not all of them are good. Our mission at College Factual is to arm you with as much information as we can to help you make that decision. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Rocky Mountains Region for English” ranking is one tool we have developed to help in this regard.
In 2020-2021, 40,481 people earned their degree in general English literature, making the major the 24th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, general English literature graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $29,881 and had an average of $23,769 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Rocky Mountains region, there were 1,678 general English literature graduates with average earnings and debt of $27,754 and $22,801 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Rocky Mountains Region for English” ranking, we looked at 23 colleges that offer a degree in general English literature. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality general English literature programs as well as strong veteran support.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the general English literature program at the school. See our ranking methodology to learn more.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Colorado Boulder. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Rocky Mountains Region for English list. This large school is located in Boulder, Colorado, and it awarded 138 ’s English degrees in 2020-2021.

Located in Fort Collins, Colorado, this large public school awarded 92 diplomas to qualified ’s English students in 2020-2021.
