Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Literature for a Bachelor’s” ranking is part of that endeavor.

In 2020-2021, 683 people earned their degree in literature, making the major the 264th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, literature graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $26,788 and had an average of $26,372 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 71 literature graduates with average earnings and debt of $20,202 and $26,695 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 20 literature graduates with average earnings and debt of $42,403 and $25,944 respectively.

Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent literature programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

Bennington College is located in Bennington, Vermont and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 15 bachelors’s literature degrees to qualified students.
