University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign tops the 2021 list of our schools in Illinois that are best for non-traditional area studies students. Located in the small city of Champaign, UIUC is a public college with a very large student population. As a testament to the quality of education offered at UIUC, the school also landed the #1 rank in our Best Colleges for Area Studies in Illinois ranking.
