The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great food, nutrition and related services programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Houston, Texas is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s nutrition degrees to 184 students in 2020-2021.

It is also #5 on our “Best Food, Nutrition & Related Services Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list.Of the 47,090 students enrolled at UH, 1,382 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. This large school is located in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and it awarded 111 bachelors’s nutrition degrees in 2020-2021.

Texas Woman’s University came in at #7 in this year’s edition of the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Nutrition for a Bachelor’s ranking. Located in Denton, Texas, this fairly large public school awarded 17 diplomas to qualified bachelors’s nutrition students in 2020-2021.

Stephen F Austin State University is a fairly large school located in Nacogdoches, Texas that handed out 19 bachelors’s nutrition degrees in 2020-2021.

Baylor also made our “Best Food, Nutrition & Related Services Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list, coming in at #3.Our most recent data shows that 876 of the 19,297 students enrolled at Baylor University were GI Bill® students, of which 593 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
