The University of Alabama is a large school located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama that handed out 86 masters’s nutrition degrees in 2020-2021.
UA also made our “Best Food, Nutrition & Related Services Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” list, coming in at #1.Of the 37,840 students enrolled at The University of Alabama, 2,081 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 1,128 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $7,975. During this same period, 357 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

The school came in at #2 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Nutrition for a Master’s. This large school is located in Lexington, Kentucky, and it awarded 4 masters’s nutrition degrees in 2020-2021.
In addition to being on our southeast region master’s degree vets studying nutrition list, UK has also earned the #2 rank in our “Best Food, Nutrition & Related Services Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.Of the 29,986 students enrolled at University of Kentucky, 1 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Located in Birmingham, Alabama, this medium-sized private not-for-profit school awarded 11 diplomas to qualified masters’s nutrition students in 2020-2021.
In addition to being on our southeast region master’s degree vets studying nutrition list, Samford has also earned the #3 rank in our “Best Food, Nutrition & Related Services Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 162 of the 5,729 students enrolled at Samford University were GI Bill® students, of which 101 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Rock Hill, South Carolina is the setting for this medium-sized institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s nutrition degrees to 14 students in 2020-2021.

Nova Southeastern University landed the #7 spot on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Nutrition for a Master’s ranking. Located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, this large private not-for-profit school handed out 17 degrees to qualified masters’s nutrition students in 2020-2021.
In addition to being on our southeast region master’s degree vets studying nutrition list, NUS Florida has also earned the #4 rank in our “Best Food, Nutrition & Related Services Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.According to our most recent data, NUS Florida supports 20,888 students, and 522 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 335 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. University of Central Arkansas came in at #8 in this year’s edition of the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Nutrition for a Master’s ranking. UCA is located in Conway, Arkansas and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 12 masters’s nutrition degrees to qualified students.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at UCA, the school also landed the #6 spot in our “Best Food, Nutrition & Related Services Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.Of the 10,335 students enrolled at University of Central Arkansas, 528 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 194 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $6,808.
