Out of the 6 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Nutrition for a Master’s that were part of this year’s ranking, North Dakota State University - Main Campus landed the #1 spot on the list. Fargo, North Dakota is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s nutrition degrees to 15 students in 2020-2021.

The school came in at #2 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Nutrition for a Master’s. This large school is located in Lincoln, Nebraska, and it awarded 11 masters’s nutrition degrees in 2020-2021.
UNL also made our “Best Food, Nutrition & Related Services Master’s Degree Schools in the Plains States Region” list, coming in at #3.Of the 25,108 students enrolled at University of Nebraska - Lincoln, 690 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 344 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $6,374. On top of their other funding sources, 79 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. University of Nebraska - Lincoln offers credit for military training for eligible students.
