Allied Health Professions is the 18th most popular major in the country with 82,308 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, allied health professions graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $53,436 and had an average of $20,148 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 9,920 allied health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $48,730 and $18,354 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 3,762 allied health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $35,810 and $18,681 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Allied Health for an Associate” ranking analyzed 64 colleges that offered a degree in allied health professions. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent allied health professions programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
