Allied Health Professions is the 18th most popular major in the country with 82,308 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, allied health professions graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $53,436 and had an average of $20,148 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 9,920 allied health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $48,730 and $18,354 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 798 allied health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,112 and $26,227 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Allied Health for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 16 colleges that offer a degree in allied health professions. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality allied health professions programs as well as strong veteran support.

It awarded 12 bachelors’s allied health degrees in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at TCU, the school also landed the #8 spot in our “Best Allied Health Professions Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” ranking.Of the 11,379 students enrolled at Texas Christian University, 520 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
