In 2020-2021, 9,210 people earned their degree in health/medical prep programs, making the major the 104th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, health/medical prep programs graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $28,184 and had an average of $21,459 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Great Lakes region, there were 1,941 health/medical prep programs graduates with average earnings and debt of $26,400 and $24,247 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Medical Prep” ranking looked at 35 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in health/medical prep programs. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent health/medical prep programs programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
